PAS 2035 takes a whole-home approach to improving energy efficiency. Ventilation needs to be considered alongside insulation and airtightness, helping manage moisture and maintain indoor air quality.
We support retrofit contractors and housing providers by installing the ventilation measures in the property’s supplied strategy. Extractor fans, background vents and airflow between rooms are planned together, with installation, commissioning and handover from one team.

Ventilation works can involve several parts of a property. We bring the installation tasks together, helping you avoid coordinating separate visits for fans, trickle vents and door undercuts.
Extractor fan installations
Installation and replacement of specified extractor fans, including associated electrical work and the agreed controls.
Trickle vents
Installation of the specified background ventilators, with the required locations and quantities checked against the supplied strategy.
Door undercuts
Agreed transfer-air openings where specified, with suitability and door restrictions checked before alterations.
Core holes, ducting & finishing
Core drilling, ductwork, supports, external grilles and associated works included in the agreed installation scope.
Related ventilation works
We can discuss mould cleaning, vent sealing and other items listed in the property strategy. Each item is reviewed and agreed before installation.
Ventilation commissioning & handover
We measure and record extract airflow rates, check fan settings against the supplied ventilation strategy and provide the agreed commissioning records. We explain the controls and routine maintenance at handover.
Electrical testing & certification
As a NAPIT registered electrical contractor, we inspect and test the associated electrical work and can issue a Minor Electrical Installation Works Certificate where appropriate.
